We love music, and we know you do, too. It’s been called the universal language, and most of us understand it, but don’t speak it... do you? That’s why we’re opening up the doors of music creation to everyone. You can unleash your inner rockstar or diva! No training required. We’re a pre-seed stage startup, currently at Stanford University’s StartX venture accelerator (huge props to StartX!), and for you this means that new music creation is just around the corner!
The Team
Alex Tang
CEO, Co-founder
Alex is our fearless visionary, and has 18 years of experience as a developer and engineering director at Netscape and Proofpoint. At Proofpoint, he grew and managed technical teams until the company IPO’d with 500 staff and an $800m valuation. He’s wistful about his childhood trumpet playing days, so please ask about them.
Priya Shekar
Co-founder & Advisor
Priya holds a Master’s in Music Technology from Stanford University. Her mobile music venture idea was selected for the Stanford Graduate School of Business Ignite program, where she led a 6-person team through commercialization. She plays piano, sings and maintains a Kiwi accent.

Rob is an Assistant Professor at RPI, and a leading researcher in music for gaming and interactive media. He was instrumental as an early developer and content lead at Smule.
Jay Zaveri
The Social+Capital Partnership
Jay is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at S23P. Most recently, Dropbox acquired his company, CloudOn. He has built and advised companies in the mobile, social and media spaces. He is our StartX Lead Mentor.
